Addex comes to us from his home base in Romania. His fluid take on deep house has been well received, thanks to a formidable remix catalog and support from imprints like I Records, Etoka, Apollo and Lovezone.
Addex has been producing variations of house and downtempo music since 2005 and can also been discovered under aliases like The Urban District and Openzone Bar.

ali khan
Ali Khan is proud to be a Canadian electronic music producer and digital-music label operator for Kokoro. His discography includes appearances on Cocoon and Fabric London compilations, featured by techno superstars Sven Vath, Matthew Dear and many more.
Ali’s passion for electronic music dates back 25 years. He has played in a variety of bands as a keyboard player and as solo act Subculture. These experiences have rounded out his feel for grooves and improvisation. Khan credits this fact to why he’s never been shy about playing live, as far back as 1997, with mountains of gear, long before laptop performances had emerged.
Ali Khan continues to write music, published through Kokoro, a personal outlet for deep, dubby atmospheric productions. He recently performed at the MEME festival in Winnipeg, Manitoba and also releases with music partner Joe Silva as Tonepushers, who are slated to perform at the 2012 Mutek Festival in Montreal.

alexandre navarro
Alexandre Navarro has had the longest continuous presence in our project. The French producer’s contributions to netlabels like Real Audio and Archipel were some of the first tracks to hit our stream. He was also the co-founder of Standard Klik Music, EKO and IOD – three creative commons labels who’s influence on us has been unparalleled.
Navarro currently runs SEM Label with his colleague Sasa Vojvodic (Letna). Together they continue to release solo work and support talent like Saito Koji and The Green Kingdom.

alveol / purl
Ludvig Cimbrelius has been developing a catalog of beautifully expressive electronic compositions for over a decade. He resides in the woods of Southern Sweden, making an unprecedented impression with his modest poise and heartfelt expression.
His ambient moniker Purl was the first to surface, but it’s been the work of Alveol garnering the most recent attention. Alveol’s definitive sound continues to blur the boundaries between ethereal house and techno.
Purl has gone on to release full length ambient works on both Dewtone Recordings and Silent Season.

Tamás Olejnik, born in the city of Pécs, Hungary, has been releasing music steadily since 2006. His output extends across a multitude of monikers, broadcasting a wide variety of electronic composition. Labels like Entropy Records, Deepindub, ZeECc, Force Intel, Avantroots and Auditory Cortex have played a supportive role along the way.
His productions echo a refined influence, largely evident in his music as Dublicator, which has become a staple figure among a new generation of dub-techno producers.
Recent experience has paved a promising new road for the ambient expressions of Antendex.

Artette is the founder of the digital UK deep house label Etoka Records. The label has been a supportive base for artists like Andy Hart, Addex, Imugem Orihasam and has been releasing steadily for over 3 years. His own productions have played a significant role for record label Apollo and channel a composed energy, one that echos his modest and laid-back approach to music making.
His childhood affinity for physical media was a motivating factor for the launch of his vinyl-only imprint Deeper Meaning and has since seen to the release of EPs by Kitano and Nikosf.

brando lupi
Producer, musician, DJ, photographer, Brando Lupi’s influences range anywhere from post industrial-rock, to experimental electronic and modern classical. The Italian native has had a history working alongside a number of talented countrymen including Dino Sabatini and Donato Dozzy. His productions have been supported by international icons like Laurent Garnier and John Digweed.
Brando’s releases have been distributed by the likes of Orange Groove, Kompakt, Samuvar, Detune Records and Elettronica Romana. He has also composed a score for the movie ‘La Solitudine Dei Numeri Primi’, presented at the 67th Venice Film Festival. He currently resides in Rome, spreading experimental spiritual frequencies across the county.

Chord’s philosophy is simple: play good music. His style flows through deep dub and minimal to house and techno—a slow burn of building rhythms accelerating into an intoxicating blend. His easygoing demeanour continues to engage audiences at clubs, festivals, and on his weekly web radio broadcast DUB:fuse (dub.ca).
As half of the production team OVERCAST SOUND, he has performed in Berlin, Denver’s Biennial of the Americas, Mutek and Seattle’s Decibel Festival. Chord’s talents also spread into the field of design, where he has played a supportive role in presenting our releases.

France’s Laurent Bisch is one of the most active members in the online dub community. While harboring a loyal audience on Soundcloud, he donates his productions to various netlabels and continues to effortlessly support the music around him.
Laurent started producing over twenty years ago. He has a passion for deep, ambient and experimental forms of production. Since 2009, Laurent has sought a more peaceful life with his wife and children while to devoting his free time composing music.

This Israeli producer’s intricate style takes on a multitude of influences, fusing various minimal structures with extended deep house and techno arrangements.
He is no newcomer to the scene either. Though the majority of his recent work is being released through a self-titled imprint, his music has a supportive home with other labels like Asymmetric Recordings, Lift Your Head Up and Konsequenz.

Havantepe is Ismail Genc. Born and raised near Stuttgart, Germany, he moved to Istanbul in 1994 and has been producing and spinning records since 1999.
Ismail is the co-founder of the reputable deep techno netlabel Sublime Porte and music is also available through Styrax and Pong Musiq. His productions reflect a combination of minimal dub and oldschool Detroit/Berlin influenced techno.

Krill.minima is the exotic ambient project of Martin Juhls (Marsen Jules) from Dortmund, Germany. His project krill.minima is about the idea of mixing warmth, emotion and pop-appeal with experimental sounds, modern soundhack, clicking rhythms and ambient constructions.
Krill.minima’s music has been readily available for free via the popular German netlabel Thinner. His sound also resonates deeply with the spiritual community with appearances on both Native State and Aleph Zero Records.
Being Marsen Jules he concerns himself with the compression of atmosphere and emotion in the most abstract sense. Based on carefully selected sound fragments and quotations, Marsen Jules processes another step further. Neither the sampled sound nor the Instrument itself is centered in his songs, instead it’s the particular moment. Authenticity, playful emotion and overall atmosphere is reflected, moments that initially may remain hidden to the common listener.

Netherlands-born Martin van Rossum has been experimenting in the creation of sound since he was 18. Influenced largely by his environment and keen sense of discovery, his tastes naturally gravitate towards the limitless boundaries of ambient, dub and techno music.
In 2009, Martin decided to dedicate himself to the studio after years of performing live. His music has since received international support from imprints like Nuwax Records, Silent Season and Dewtone. He currently resides in Cologne, Germany.

Born in Cordoba, Argentina, Nadia Popoff grew up, captivated by the music of her environment, heavily influenced by his brother Matthias, also an electronic music creative.
Her musical approach offers an exquisite house style with influences of dub, both in her DJ sets and in her productions. She is a new face, emerging from the underground of Cordoba, due to her performances at private parties, cultural events and clubs. Nadia has performed in cities around Argentina, such as Mendoza, Bariloche and Misiones.

Nikos Fragomanolakis has been an influential part of our project since first discovering his music on Russian netlabel Electronica. His distinct stripped-down style is supported by a family of like-minded imprints, such as Lovezone and Etoka Records.
Hailing from Réthimnon, Greece, this self-taught prodigy continues to hone his style, while studying applied informatics and multimedia. Nikos also performed at the launch of Deep In Santorini Festival, alongside acts like Terry Lee Brown Jr. and Roberto Rodriguez.

NorthernShore is Matthias Rock from Düsseldorf, a modest bedroom DJ responsible for a number of popular tribute mixes for different outlets. NorthernShore is a project focusing on deep journeys into electronic music. These journeys are mainly created for home listening and escaping everyday life, attempts to create the image of walking alone over an empty long Northern shore while hearing the music.
Apart from his project NorthernShore, Matthias Rock releases mixes under his own name. Influenced by deep techno and house, building a similar atmosphere as his ambient sets, with an energetic feel.

OVERCAST SOUND creates introspective compositions built from fragments of field recordings, oblique references to dub rhythms, and sweeping cinematic textures, resulting in a style uniquely their own. When combined with their evocative visuals, OVERCAST SOUND creates a compelling experience which explores ideas beyond musical pattern.
Through improvised performances, Michael Pettit and Jamie Drouin re-imagine their studio tracks in new and unexpected ways, creating a personal and intimate musical experience. Although not easily categorized, they succeed in engaging the listener, whether at home or on the dance floor.

Recue is the musical outlet of Riku Annala, a producer/musician hailing from Helsinki, Finland. Musically, Recue explores the deep, atmospheric left field of electronic music. The sound is often referred to as having heavy influences of dub, ambient, idm and even techno.
We first discovered Recue through his debut release “Between Stations” in 2006 on the Louisville-based electronica netlabel One. Since then, Recue has performed live events ranging from club nights and small lounges, to large outdoor festivals.
Remixes for artists have been featured on labels like Civil Music. Recue has also been fortunate to have earned support from DJ’s like James Zabiela, featuring a track on his 2010 Renaissance Compilation. Recue has also contributed commissioned music and sound design for other works, such as video and theatre.

Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver, Canada. His music consists of layered textures and tones from acoustic sources (guitar, piano, violin, harmonium, melodica, toys), field recordings and various electronic instruments.
His music has been released by a number of labels including Silent Season, Slow Flow, Under the Spire, Databloem, Tokyo Droning, U-Cover, SEM, Autoplate (Thinner), Kyoto_digital and Resting Bell.

Upwellings is a live project exploring the possibilities of dub in a minimalist techno environment, utilizing little more than fields recordings, analog synth and a vocoder.
Based in Rennes, France, V. Raude’s work has a reputable home with netlabel ZeECc. He is also the first artist to contribute an original live set to our mix series.
