Interval Apps release revamped Thicket for iPad
Morgan Packard and Joshue Ott have announced the release of another intuitive update to their iPad app Thicket. Morgan’s dedication to this platform is likely to take him further away from music making, but there is plenty here to look forward to. Interval studios aims to work with artists and performers in the hopes of bringing their application to the stage.
“Thicket is an audiovisual playground for iPad that allows anyone to create beautiful sounds and pictures from simple finger touches. For users of all ages, this generative art and sound app immerses you in song-like audiovisual pieces called modes. When “playing” a mode, you both react to and create the music and graphics that you experience. Each mode is its own art generator, interactive toy, instrument, even performance tool depending on how you use it. And with new modes to be developed and released every few months, Thicket functions an expandable platform in the exciting new genre of handheld interactive art.”

Alveol – Alignment: The Remixes (Part 1)

After a short hiatus, Lovezone return with a wonderful remix package for Alveol’s, “Alignment”. Re-works from Yone B, Addex, Ilias Katelanos, Nikosf and Alveol himself breathe more life into an already fantastic track.
Masmöd – Conscious Automata

The last time netlabel Nueva Forma came into our cross hairs (almost 4 years ago) this exact artist was involved. In fact, he’s been the visual force behind this label’s aesthetic and he just happens to compose some wonderful electronica too.
The follow up to his full length release “Axiom” is a reflective and charming EP, lighter than his previous work with plenty of the meticulous beatwork he was praised for before. Classic electronic fans and glitch-lovers rejoice.
Fingers In The Noise – 3 x 11 (11/11/11)

As busy as Laurent is writing music for other projects, he’s been conserving just the right amount of energy to deliver his first full length. Released via his own Bandcamp page, this album commemorates everything Fingers in the Noise has been recognized for. Plush drones eventually transport the listener into deep minimal dub soundscapes.
All in all the moods are quite chilling, as frosty chords and introspective themes play a dominant role throughout the entire album. Still, you come out of it feeling optimistic and the clarity of his productions provide an effortlessly enjoyable listen.
